All About Children's Dance Lessons

Children's dance lessons are more important than you might think. It's been shown in many studies that dance will improve your child's coordination, mood, posture, and even their grades! It's good to get them out of the house any way, but what kind of dance should they do?

Ballet is great for younger children, it builds eye hand coordination early on. Older children can do ballet, but they might not benefit as much as a younger child. There are two main types of ballet:

Classical ballet: a style of ballet based on precise conventional steps performed with graceful and flowing movements, builds strength and muscle tone, and eye hand coordination.

Modern ballet: a style of ballet that emphasizes a wider variety of movements, a great outlet for energy and builds flexibility

Jazz and Tap builds muscle strength and bone density, and emphasizes teamwork between people. It's great for older children in getting them active and social.

Hip Hop dance classes build on a Jazz and Ballet foundation, and those who are seeking a less structured program and form of dance. It's a high energy calorie burning class, to make sure your kids get up and move!

General Dance Classes present dances like the Cha Cha, Waltz, Fox Trot, Swing, Salsa, and Rumba

No matter which kind of dance you choose for your child, it will help them be more social and outgoing. They might even make a few friends for life!
