Choreographer Doriana Sanchez: Make dance your life...being able to move and dance is a blessing so, enjoy it and have fun.

aris-dance.com has done it again!!!
This time we bring to you an exclusive interview with choreographer for the stars, Doriana Sanchez. She is best known for conceiving, directing and choreographing Cher's Farewell "Living Proof" Tour, which received 4 Emmy Awards including the Emmy for Outstanding Musical Variety Special. The show played 325 dates, was one of the highest grossing tours ever, and played to over 3 million people worldwide. She was invited as a guest choreographer for Fox Reality TV Show "So You Think You Can Dance" and just returned from Europe where she played the role of the Artistic Director for **’s performance at the MTV Europe Awards.

aris-dance: You are well known for directing and choreographing for music legend Cher. The shows that you produced received many Emmy Awards and you have been nominated twice for Best Choreography. How does it feel to be recognized by your peers as one of the best choreographers in the industry?

Doriana Sanchez: It is very nice and also very humbling. But I truly know that I am well supported in what I do. Making a show as huge as the Cher Tour takes an enormous amount of work. I have the best people working with me, so I am very fortunate. It is extra nice, when fellow artists notice what you are doing.

aris-dance: What would you say was the most challenging part of creating a show for such a legendary entertainer as Cher?

Doriana Sanchez: The most challenging part of creating a touring show such as ours, is always time and money. There is of course a budget that has to be adhered to, and time is always a little tight. I think we only had about six weeks of rehearsal on Cher's show, and that was for all the dance pieces, creating all the music and teaching the dancers how to fly. We also wanted the show to be bigger and better that the last tour, so we really had to push ourselves. It is always the goal to realize the artist's vision for their show. Cher has such vision about what her audience would like to see. We really wanted to make it a wonderful experience for the audience, so that they walk away having had the best time ever.

aris-dance: You must have many incredible memories of touring the past three years. Can you share some of those memories that stand out in you mind?
