DramaTech Theater, the student run theater at Georgia Tech, presents the classic story of star-crossed lovers by Arthur Laurents, Leonard Bernstein, and Stephen Sondheim. Set in the Upper West Side of New York City in the late fifties, West Side Story places two teen lovers Tony and Maria in the midst of a vicious conflict between their warring gangs, the Sharks and the Jets. A bold and original musical take on the Romeo and Juliet theme, West Side Story has captivated audiences since before its Broadway opening in 1957.
