Ballethnic Dance Company is looking for strong male and female dancers to join its professional company. Ballethnic is a classically trained, culturally diverse ballet company, blending traditional ballet with the artistic influences of other ethnic cultures. The company tours throughout the US and abroad, performing three major productions in Atlanta. Dancers must have strong pointe and pas de deux skills, as well as be able to perform diverse movements utilizing elements of Ballet, African, Modern, and Jazz. Founded more than 15 years ago by Nena Gilreath and Waverly Lucas, both former dancers with the Dance Theatre of Harlem and the Atlanta Ballet, Ballethnic seeks to provide performance opportunities to those who, in spite of proper ballet training, are often overlooked in the majority of ballet companies because of race or ethnicity. Ballethnic welcomes dancers of all ethnic backgrounds to audition. Interested dancers must forward headshots, resumes and videos to Ballethnic Dance Company, P.O. Box 90489, East Point, GA, 30364. Various contracts are available. For more information, please visit the website or contact William McClure or Amy Hazlewood at 404-762-1416 or
