Rhythmic, pounding salsa music provides the backdrop for this technical jazz class. One of the beauties of jazz is that it easily blends with other dance genres... as in Funky Jazz (hip hop) and Jazz Triphop (hip hop and modern) for example. In Latin Jazz, basic salsa club moves - merengue, cha cha cha, samba, and rumba are combined with the long graceful lines of ballet based jazz choreography.
