Looking for Adult beginner Ballet program in Perimeter area

Postby Mia » Mon Dec 27, 2004 4:48 pm

I'm new to N. Atlanta and am looking for a studio offers adult beginner ballet classes. Most studio only offer beginner class ONCE a week, I really would like to take classes at lease 3 times a week. I also like to find an instructor that would take adult students seriously. Any recommendation will be highly appreciated.

I'm thinking the Atlanta School of Ballet on Roswell Road would be a good bet for you.

Do you know of any studios who teach beginning ballet for adults in the Marietta/Acworth/Kennesaw area?

Ballet classes

Postby Burned twice » Fri Jan 28, 2005 12:11 am

I have been to 2 separate dance academies for beginning ballet. The first place was way over my head, although they claimed to be a beginner class. The second advertised a beginner class but were practicing for a recital (which they failed to tell me when I called and inquired about the class). Has anyone been to the Atlanta Ballet adult beginner class? What is it like? Are they teaching the fundamentals and techique or skimming the basics because the class is full of adults?

Usually, the classes begin in the fall and hold recitals in the spring. North GA Dance & Music Factory offers an excellent beginning adult ballet course; however, I am fairly sure they only meet once a week.
