Lindy Hop

Postby jdavidb » Fri Apr 16, 2004 11:09 am

I just remembered writing this. It's September 2005, and I came to edit this message to say that this show is retired indefinitely. So, this message isn't relevant anymore. Here's the original:

I'd like to find a partner for lindy hop. I'm in Kennesaw, GA. Age: 31. I'm male, so I need a female partner. You don't have to be good at this right away. I need someone who can spend the time to become good at it. I do Lindy Hop in school and stage shows (J. Anderson Theater) a few times a year. So, this is for performance. That's why I need a partner rather than just night club lindy hop partnering. Let's chat and see if you'd like to get busy with this. I also have waltz, hustle and jitterbug in the same show if you're interested in those. Lindy Hop just happens to be priority #1. My Yahoo id is davidinkennesaw if you want to chat, or you can email or pm me.

Lindy Hop

A shot in the dark here...you didn't happen to be at the GT dance the 23rd, did you? I was there and had so much fun. I dance swing, but had not done the Lindy before. I decided to begin searching to find a place to learn, and ran across your post.

No I wasn't there. I have only recently heard about the GT stuff that goes on. I didn't get to find out much about it from the person telling me. If I manage to get more info on it, I will be there.

GT Dance

Postby saving_grace » Sat Apr 24, 2004 5:59 pm

The GT Dance Association has a website with all the info you would need. The dances have a good age mixture with quite a bit of Lindy, so it is a good one to attend. It seems as if the GTDA is closely linked to the ATLX, so it may be a good way to find the dance partner you are looking for.
