Too Tall To Break Dance?

Postby Luke23 » Fri Aug 26, 2005 6:40 pm

Most break dancers are average or shorter right? Or are they average or taller? Or what are they? Any height have an advantage, big or small? I am 13,male, and 5 foot, 5 inches.
I am probably going to be 6 foot, 3 inches at full height. Is that a good height to break dance? Can anyone do it? DO you have to be short? Is ther advantage being tall, short, or average? Please answer my questions. Thanks.

of course you can break. it doesn't matter if you are tall or short. some things may be harder for you to learn, but on the other hand certain things might be easier for you to learn because of your height. don't let things like that question your ability.do it, learn it.

ummm...no offense, but you have no idea how tall you will be when you (finally) hit puberty. dancing might even stunt your growth, if you do it alot (this happens to gymnasts). just start learning, it doesn't really matter how tall you will be, does it? you're going to break either way, because it kicks ass.

The advantage of being tall is that you have presence. You should NEVER let someone say you can't do something because you are too tall/short.
I guess what I'm trying to say is you can create you own style using your height as an advantage.
As far as stunting your growth, dancing is the one of the best exercises anyone can do. Not following through on something that can be an advantage to you will stunt your mental/personal growth...
Thats my 2 cents worth...
